Bathtime! Handwashing

 

Washing your hands can protect you from a lot of germs and bacteria. It can prevent a lot of illnesses and food poisoning.

Many of those times people get terrible vomiting and diarrhoea could be avoided.

Washing hands
  • Use soap and warm water
  • Rub the soap over both sides of your hands
  • Clean between your fingers and under your nails
  • Rinse off with clean water
Drying hands
  • Dry them with a clean towel, a paper towel or a hot air blower
Always wash them
  • After you have been to the toilet
  • If you come into contact with blood, vomit, wee or poo.
  • Before eating or handling foods.
  • Before and after changing a baby's nappy
  • Before and after looking after a cut.
