Anyone can get head lice. They are caught by head-to-head contact.
You don't need to have dirty hair, in fact they prefer clean hair.
You know you've got them when your hair just won't stop itching.
How to find them:
Get a special fine tooth comb from the chemists.
Wash your hair and apply a little conditioner.
Part your hair into sections and carefully comb close to the scalp(skin)
Look at the comb and rub it onto a piece of white paper.
You will quickly see if you have any lice or lice eggs.
If you find them don’t panic.
You can try special chemical lotions but sometimes these can irritate your
skin and often don’t work.
You can be certain to get rid of them if you comb them out regularly.
Wash your hair with normal shampoo
Use lots of conditioner and while the hair is wet comb it really carefully
with the fine tooth comb.
Clean the comb withe a paper hankie after each stroke
Do this every three to four days for two weeks.
AND MAKE SURE EVERYONE IN YOUR HOME DOES SO TOO!
