Rubella or German Measles
What is it?

Rubella (German measles)

Rubella or its other name, German Measles, gives you a sore throat, cough and runny nose. Up to five days later a fine pink rash appears on your face then spreads during the next day to the rest of the body.
Rubella can be very dangerous to a mother who is pregnant. It can harm the baby inside her.
Treatment Tell your doctor. Stay at home and make yourself as comfortable as you can.
How do you catch it? Rubella is a virus spread from person to person by touching, coughing or sneezing.
Stay away from school for 7 days after the start of the rash.
Most of us don't get mumps becomes we are given an inoculation when we are babies.
Make sure you stay away from any women who are pregnant.
