Support for parents/carers
The Health Education Link Service can plan, facilitate and evaluate bespoke training and support events for parents. These may be used to enhance the school’s approach to Sex and Relationship Education (SRE) or Drug Education, by consulting with parents on policies, schemes of work, resources and curriculum materials.
Modules can include:
- Talking to Children about Relationships and Growing Up – to help develop parent/carers ability to communicate with their children about sex and relationships
- Keeping Children Safe – to help develop parent/carers ability to communicate with their children about drugs, alcohol and smoking.
- Healthy Start – where parents/carers can explore healthy eating on a budget, dental hygiene, behaviour management, emotional health and wellbeing, communication and general health, with a range of health professionals.
